PAMPUS ISLAND AMSTERDAM- FORT & FOOD FESTIVAL

New Amsterdam Travel Video- Pampus is a man-made island that sits in the shallow waters of the Ijsselmeer. A fort was built to protect the city from attacks by sea and is part of the 45 fort defense network that form a 135 km. U- shape around the city.

Proef Pampus is a food festival held on Fort Island Pampus in the Ijsselmeer. Take the ferry there to enjoy nature, have some fun, explore the fort and learn some Dutch history.
